Max told me about ‘boleros’ (not the Miles Davis kind), but love songs a Mexican Romeo suitor who, too shy to speak to the girl he had a crush on, stands under her window at night with a guitar and sings a self-composed endearment. I saw Max work bolero magic in real time one night at a party.
