I have no business writing a song like this until recently. I heard, in a shocking and personal way, from someone close to me who'd experienced an unwanted advance (to put it mildly). I’ve known too many women and girls who have been raped or suffered incest. A horror in any culture at any time. For me, a man, writing about #metoo in song form is a stretch, but here it is. Darkly.
