The separation of Rimbaud and Verlaine hurt them both. Rimbaud wrote a tear-stained letter to Verlaine from London appealing: 'come back, come back, my friend...'. I've always remembered this cry from his heart and their wild few years together. An inspiration to me in many parts of my weird life. More than a full moon, it is the crescent that sings to me. Looking up I know that even far away, or after a romantic story
has ended, we can both, from different places, see in the above, our reflection. That love is infinite regardless of those complex self-defeating fears in our flawed persona.
