Been trying t write something uplifting in the face of so much assault of the dark. Gospel - white man gospel? Never cuts it but shit, give it a shot Berlin. The idea came to me walking. A long walk a few weeks ago. I ran into this kid who moved like a fawn, but with a busted leg. Limping a bit, but resolute. I didn’t say a word. Just kept going. Staying out of his way. But then, strangely, 15 minutes later, I saw him again. Same person. ‘Are you limping?’ I asked (trying not to be too forward or weird). ‘I have a condition. Walking helps,’ he said. Openly, even proudly accepting of whatever was wrong. I left. He kept at it. He was truly inspiring. This is for him.
