I WISH I'D KNOWN MOZART

from DEMOS by Rick Berlin

about

Weren't composers paid by the court back when wigs, fancy pants n bobbling bosoms were the norm? Would I have been chosen? I doubt it, But I would have loved to have followed Wolfgang around the mirrored halls in secret and heard his magic music spew. This nod to the guy reminds me so much of Orchestra Luna I. A most insane approach to song writing.

lyrics

I WISH I’D KNOWN MOZART

buckles on yr shoes
n powdered wigs
n beauty spots
n bosoms heave
when you play
the harpsichord
n fall in love
w music
n fall in love
w music

i wish
id known
the kid
who wrote
an opera
so young
i’d hide
n watch
ya dance

did you ever
take a shower
or change yr fancy clothes
have wooden teeth
or were you just
precocious
full of laughter
n full of love

i wish
id known
the kid
who wrote
an opera
so young
i’d hide
n watch
ya dance

a magic flute
like sparrows
like music
clear the air
like sunshine
after rain

GLORIA
INEXCELSIS

i wish
id known
Mozart
