THINKIN' ABOUT YA

from DEMOS by Rick Berlin

/

about

My sister, Jane Clark, often says, when i call her up, ‘I’ve been thinking about you…’ you know, that unexplained connective thread between souls that has us invisibly alerted to the other. This song is not about anyone in particular, actually, it’s about everyone I know, or miss. Simple song on a piano that sounds like an accordion played by a child.

lyrics

THINKIN’ ABOUT YA

i’m lookin’
out the window
it’s rainin’
outside

i was thinkin’
about ya
just the other day
i wonder
how yr doin’
are we ok?

im sure we are
r you smilin’
at yr friend
across the room?

i was thinkin’
about ya
just the other day
how r ya doin’
r you ok?

i picture you
i picture you laughing
i picture you laughing
at me

remember
how
funny you looked
when you were tryin’
to whistle
a song

i was thinkin’
thinkin’ about you
just the other day
made me smile
felt ok
