in a crowd

he was wearin a crown
there was something in his face that looked familiar
something kind n gentle enough
fingers like el greco touch my waist
my soul feels like a sputnik in outer space

skinny boy walks a tight rope
to my heart
lose his balance so i catch him
in the dark
we fall like a pair o' horses
into the sea
smoke pot like a pair o' hippies
from the 60's
d'ja ever get the feeling this one is true
moses on a mountain in bicycle shoes

n he pulls me down

it hurts when i see his face lookin' sad
like a soldier in a war torn photograph
